Ethereum is on a recovery trajectory toward $2.55K as buyers have reacted to the recent selloff in proximity to a significant demand zone. The rebound maintains the overarching upward trajectory; however, ETH must still regain the upper supply levels to indicate a more sustainable recovery. On the daily timeframe, Ethereum’s correction extended into the $2.36K-$2.42K demand zone, subsequently generating a significant lower wick along with multiple recovery candles. The price has since climbed toward $2.55K, indicating that buyers are actively supporting the region after the significant drop from the recent consolidation. ETH continues to operate within the larger ascending channel, maintaining its position above both significant moving averages. The 100-day average is positioned at approximately $2.24K, surpassing the 200-day average, which is around $2.14K, thereby sustaining the bullish crossover that was established previously.
However, this supportive backdrop has yet to translate into a recovery of the lost resistance levels. The highlighted $2.66K-$2.74K supply zone represents the main nearby barrier. Reclaiming this area would bolster the recovery outlook and enable another attempt at the recent $2.8K peak, subsequently targeting the $2.9K-$3K resistance zone. Conversely, renewed selling would bring the $2.36K-$2.42K demand zone and nearby channel support back into focus. A sustained break below this confluence would undermine the broader structure and reveal the moving-average region around $2.14K-$2.24K. The 4-hour chart indicates that Ethereum is experiencing a rebound following a brief penetration of the $2.43K-$2.48K demand zone and the lower ascending trendline. The subsequent recovery above both indicates a rejection of lower prices; however, the earlier selloff has resulted in ETH trading below the middle trendline of the rising structure.
Maintaining the reclaimed trendline in the vicinity of $2.49K-$2.5K would bolster the prospects for a continued rebound toward the $2.6K region. Beyond that, the 2.66K-2.74K supply zone overlaps with the broken middle trendline, creating an important resistance confluence where sellers could reappear. Until Ethereum clears that region, the advance remains a recovery within a compromised short-term framework. Losing $2.49K would heighten the probability of a subsequent examination of the $2.43K-$2.48K demand zone. A decisive breakdown below the recent wick low around $2.4K could then expose the next highlighted support area at $2.22K-$2.28K. The Ethereum Spot Average Order Size chart categorises spot activity based on average trade size, differentiating between standard orders and those characteristic of retail and whale participants. It offers insight into the scale of participation, yet it does not distinctly ascertain whether larger traders are engaging in purchases or sales.
The latest observations remain predominantly in the normal-order category, including the recent advance toward 2.7K and the subsequent correction toward 2.5K. This stands in stark contrast to the numerous substantial readings observed in previous periods, especially during the price base established from June to August. Consequently, the current rebound lacks a discernible resurgence of large average orders typically associated with significant market movements. This does not establish that large investors are absent or that the recovery must fail; however, the metric provides limited confirmation of renewed large-order participation. A transition toward substantial readings, coupled with a persistent price recovery, would offer further context; however, the buying direction would still require validation from supplementary data.
